Is my Qurbani Shariah Compliant when donating through MATW Meals? 

Yes. All Qurbani sacrifices are carried out in strict accordance with Islamic Shariah guidelines. Animals are locally sourced, meet health and age requirements, and are slaughtered by qualified individuals who recite the correct intention and Bismillah.

Can I choose the country my Qurbani is performed in?

Yes. You can choose from multiple countries including Yemen, Gaza, Pakistan, Egypt, Chad, Sudan, and Africa.

What is the difference between a share and a full animal?

A full Qurbani is one complete animal, a sheep or goat for one household. A Qurbani share is one-seventh of a larger animal such as a cow or camel, which also counts as one complete individual Qurbani.

What happens to the meal after the sacrifice?

The meat is distributed directly to families in need in your chosen country, divided into portions for the poorest households, many of whom only receive meat once a year during Eid Al Adha.

When should I donate my Qurban Udhiya?

To count as a proper Qurban, you must donate BEFORE the end of Eid-ul-Adha which lasts for 4 days.IMPORTANT- The time for sacrifice ends at sunset on the fourth day or the 13th of Dhul Hijjah. Therefore, to ensure we can complete your Qurban on time, please donate before the 12th of Dhul Hijjah - by sunset on the third day of Eid.

What do I get when I donate a water well?

When a donor invests in a Sadaqah Jariyah project, we provide updates to keep our donors informed of the progress at different stages. The final report includes images of the project throughout it’s stages and in some cases, a video.

How long does it take to build a water well?

Depending on the water well and the country in which it is being built, your well could take up to one year from donation to delivery.
